On September 17, 2007, CME Group will launch Cash-Settled Butter options on the CME Globex electronic trading platform. Electronic trading hours for these contracts will be the same as for other commodity products: trading begins Monday at 9:05 a.m. Chicago time and remains open through Friday 1:30 p.m. with daily hour-long trading halts at 4:00 p.m.

CME Cash-Settled Butter futures and options offer hedgers and traders a cash-settled and electronically traded butter contract. The contract size is 20,000 pounds, one-half the contract size of the pit-traded CME Butter futures, which has a delivery trade unit of 40,000 pounds of Grade AA butter.
